So you like to watch YouTube but don't like YouTube, I just have the thing for you
You and I both love YouTube. It is a hugely diverse video content library that we enjoy. But, we don't like YouTube as a company. It is (close to) garbage. So, we gravitate towards YouTube clients, official or not doesn't matter. Now, I just have 2 of the hottest clients that you may have not considered before, "Flow" and "Grayjay".
Flow
In their own words, it is a "privacy-respecting YouTube and YouTube Music client for Android with a local recommendation engine".
Best parts :
- YouTube + YouTube Music with no ads
- Local recommendation engine
- YouTube dislike, SponsorBlock, and DeArrow integration
- Download any video
- Material 3 Expressive UI
Not so best parts :
- Cross-device syncing doesn't always work properly
- PC (Windows and Linux) version of the app is still in Beta stage, so expect regular bugs, crashes, and issues

Grayjay

In their own words, "Grayjay is a multi-platform media application that allows you to watch content from multiple platforms in a single application. Using an extendable plugin system developers can make new integrations with additional platforms. Plugins are cross-compatible between Android and Desktop".
Best parts :
- Multiple video library sources
- SponsorBlock integration
- Download any video
- PC (Windows and Linux) version of the app is stable
- Cross-device syncing works properly
Not so best parts :
- UI is old-school but works
- There is a inherent delay when opening any video
